Fetch covers more than most other providers, including Embrace
Fetch Pet Insurance is proud to protect over 450,000 pets (and counting!) with the most comprehensive coverage. Embrace Pet Insurance has limited or no coverage when it comes to dental illness, boarding in the event of hospitalization and more.
Get your priceEmbrace Pet Insurance doesn’t enroll older pets, Fetch does
Fetch insures pets 6 weeks and older with no upper age limits.
With Embrace, dogs and cats who are 15 years and older are not eligible for full accident and illness coverage. Embrace offers pets 15 years and older their accident-only plan and wellness plan.
Fetch covers pets in all of the U.S. and most of Canada
With Fetch, your dog or cat is covered in all 50 U.S. states and most of Canada.
Embrace does not cover Canadian residents. Embrace covers U.S. residents when they're home or traveling worldwide.
Embrace Pet Insurance has limited dental coverage per year
Fetch Pet Insurance covers injury and disease in every adult tooth, not just the canines. Plus, you get full coverage, up to your annual limit, for periodontal disease (the most common disease in dogs and cats), oral tumors, trauma and more.
Embrace Pet Insurance only covers up to $1,000 in dental illnesses per year. If your pet requires costly dental surgery, you could be on the hook for an expensive vet bill.
Fetch has your back if you’re hospitalized
We care about pet parents, too. Fetch Pet Insurance covers the cost to board your pet at a licensed facility when you’re hospitalized for 4 days or more. You’re covered up to $1,000 per year.
Embrace doesn’t cover boarding fees, so if you’re ever hospitalized, you’ll likely need to find someone else to take care of your pet or pay boarding fees out of pocket.
What should you consider when you’re comparing pet insurance providers?
What does the coverage include?
Not all pet insurance plans are created equally. If a provider doesn’t cover a condition your pet has or treatment they need, you won’t be able to file a claim and get paid back for it — which means you could run into some serious costs. Take a close look at all limitations and exclusions for a given pet insurance plan, which can include factors like upper age limits and exclusions for breed-specific conditions.
How much can you customize the price?
Getting a plan that works for your pet and your budget is key. With Fetch, you can customize your plan, including choosing your deductible, max annual payout and reimbursement rate. Not all providers let you customize your price like this.
What matters the most to you?
Every plan is different, and every pet parent is, too. Some people only want protection in case of injury and illness — the unexpected stuff you can’t see coming — while others also want coverage for things like chronic conditions. Make sure that what you’re paying for is what is best for your pet’s needs and your budget.
