Does Fetch Pet Insurance cover exam fees?

When you take your dog or cat to the vet, you’ll typically have to pay an exam fee — whether that’s for an unexpected sick visit (when your pet is sick or hurt) or a routine exam (like an annual checkup or a new pet’s first wellness exam).

Sick-visit exam fees can cost around $50 – $250. That’s in addition to any tests and treatment your pet may need. Unlike other providers, Fetch Pet Insurance covers the complete sick visit — exam fee included. Most pet insurance providers won’t cover the cost of a veterinary exam to treat or diagnose your pet, even for emergency and specialty care. We do (at no extra cost).

We also cover routine exams when you add Fetch Wellness to your pet insurance policy. With wellness coverage, you’ll be covered for routine and preventive care like annual exams, vaccinations and dental cleanings.
